Oceansize live DVD extravaganza charts at number eight

9th October 2009

To mark their tenth anniversary, Manchester's Oceansize performed their entire back-catalogue over three consecutive nights at the Roadhouse last October. We were there to capture the audio, with Dash manning the cameras. It was a year in the making, but the resulting box set Feed To Feed entered the official music DVD chart at number eight this week.

The band have a new EP out on 26/10, and are touring Europe and the UK until December.

Look out for hour-long programmes from the Manics, Moby, Madness and Roots Manuva showing soon on the channel.

Gaymers Grassroots Gigs on Channel 4

3rd June 2009

The 2009 series of Gaymers Grassroots Gigs arrives on British TV screens tonight and every Wednesday night for the next six weeks. The show interviews bands back in their home town, and captures them playing an exclusive gig in a local (often tiny) venue. Tonight you can check out The Maccabees at Brighton's Great Escape festival. Later shows in the series feature Starsailor, The Holloways, The Rumble Strips, The Twang and The Zutons.

Hosted by NIck Grimshaw, the programme airs around midnight every Wednesday on Channel 4 (check the schedules for exact broadcast times).

Gig audio was recorded by LX3 and mixed by Dan Massie.

Siouxsie Sioux's Finale DVD charts this week

27th May 2009

Finale, the highly-anticipated live DVD from Siouxsie's Mantaray tour, was released last Monday. Audio recorded by ourselves, mixed by Steve Evans.

On pre-release orders alone, Finale had been in Amazon's top ten for about three weeks. It entered the official music DVD chart this week at number four, beaten only by McFly who held onto the number one position, and the Clapton/Winwood show from Madison Square Garden which was a new entry at three. (Call me strange, but I don't really think of High School Musical as a music DVD).
